Jennifer Hudson Signs with Interscope Records, Readies New Music

Jennifer Hudson is embarking on a new musical journey.

For, the EGOT-winning star has signed with Interscope Records.

Moments ago, it was announced the multihyphenate maven had onboarded the juggernaut Universal Music imprint.

Since breaking through in the mid-00s, Hudson had been musically housed at Sony Music labels – where she released hits such as ‘Spotlight’ and ‘If This Isn’t Love.’

Now, the songbird will hatch her new musical offerings at Interscope.

Speaking on signing the singer, Steve Berman, vice chairman of Interscope Capitol Label Group, said:

“Jennifer has made so many important contributions to global musical culture onstage, onscreen and through her incredible body of recordings. She is a tour de force and we are thrilled that she has chosen to spend the next phase of her career at Interscope.”

Hudson – who helms a hit daytime talk show series – joins a roster that includes Lady Gaga, Olivia Rodrigo, Blackpink, Dr. Dre, Elton John, and Lana Del Rey.

    The problem is that her music is not good, she has the potential but she never delivered a top tier album or songs.

    J HUD was a good album and the only one I like from her cause it was more experimental. Hopefully they link her to good producers and writers to give better music since she does have potential especially with the adult contemporary crowd.
