Katy Perry may be primed to see her new album, ‘143,’ dial into the Billboard 200’s top 10 upon the chart’s update on Sunday (September 29), but ‘I’m His, He’s Mine‘ – the project’s latest single – can’t boast the same success trajectory yet.
Details inside.
Bolstered by a prominent sample of Crystal Waters‘ 1991 smash ‘Gypsy Woman (She’s Homeless),’ ‘Mine’ failed to find a home on this week’s Hot 100 despite being welcomed with ample critical acclaim.
The Doechii-assisted track opened at #24 on the updated Bubbling Under Hot 100 Chart. Produced by Dr. Luke, ‘Mine’ shares a fate similar to its predecessor ‘Lifetimes.’
For context, “Bubbling Under Hot 100” is a listing designed to rank the top 25 songs that have accumulated noteworthy radio airplay, sales, and streaming stats but not enough to place within the top 100 most popular songs of the week.

It didn’t get critical acclaim. A few critics called it the best collab-song onbthe album but most said it was dated, boring and a lazy use of the sample.
Yeah. Her fans love it (at least 90% of them cite it as one of their favorite tracks or one of the only tracks they actually like from the album), but critics have been pretty meh about it for the most part – just like the rest of the album.
Katy is flopping left and right. This is totally embarrassing for her and the budget seems to be HUGE for this era.
I’m blaming on Doechii coz she is a ugly ass nobody and she is cursed like Flop mani.
Who do you blame for the other flop singles and album 😝
even Katy can’t get this ashy flop a hit! ha! She miscalculated.
What a shame it’s one of my favs from the album.
