Taking to press, Hits Daily Double unveiled an updated lsit of the sales charts for the mid-week. On it, Perry’s new album, ‘143,’ is string comfortably in the top 10 at #8. The updated numbers are now 40,000 total units. Of that sum, 30,000 are said to be from pure sales alone.
If the record manages to continue to perform strongly, then it will become her sixth top 10 album on the Billboard 200 chart. She previously hit #1 with som of her albums like ‘Teenage Dream’ and ‘Prism.’
The news of her new updated sales comes after it was initially predicted to not do so well.

Katy is a prime example of staying connected to her audience. Like I know she was on American idol. But she was gone for ages, and barely did anything outside of American idol. Taylor swift (and I’m not a swifty but I have friends who are) connects with her audience all the time. She should prepare a new album for top of 2025 WITHOUT dr Luke. Don’t give them any reason to cancel. Like I know it’s not fair some get a free pass for working with dr Luke. Hmmm I still think Katy would have done better with her comeback if she went pop country
