Lil Wayne’s Manager Expresses “Confusion, Disappointment, and Anger” Over Kendrick Lamar Headlining Super Bowl LIX

Lil Wayne‘s manager is speaking out about the rapper not being chosen for the upcoming Super Bowl.

More details below…

Taking to social media, his manager released a lengthy statement. In it, he said that he was “confused, disappointed, and anger” over the situation.

“Confused. Disappointed. Angry. But most of all, inspired. Will never again have the [GOAT] in a position where we are at the mercy of someone else’s decision. We will make the decisions.,” he wrote.

Master P said something similar.

“Salute to @KendrickLamar for performing at the halftime show at Super Bowl LIX. Well deserved, he’s one of the hottest artists in the world and has one of the biggest songs right now. As Ambassador of Entertainment in the City of New Orleans I have to agree with the fans that @LilTunechi #LilWayne should be a part of this celebration as well. He’s one of the greatest Hip Hop artists alive, still relevant and he’s a New Orleans native. Let’s not miss this cultural moment in the South. Besides, life is too short! We have to give our legends their flowers while they are here. @MasterPMasterClass #Godisgood Change starts with us. @NFL @JAYZ @MayorCantrell,” he wrote.

Yesterday, it was announced that Kendrick Lamar would be headlining the next Super Bowl.

The Super Bowl doesn’t owe him s***. Last I checked performers weren’t based on their hometown. Lil Wayne is a barely functioning drug addict who doesn’t put on a good show. I doubt he would be up for the task anyway.

Lil Wayne is currently the best rapper alive

        Subjective.

Kendrick has some good music from time to time. But entertaining the Super Bowl…… eh. I don’t really see it. But I won’t be watching anyway as I rarely ever do lol. As long as it’s better than when the weekday performed! YIKES!

Kendrick makes more sense. He’s current, energetic, and has the potential to put on a really good show. I know Wayne would’ve rocked the crowd too, but Kendrick is clearly the better choice for this go round.

I agree but imagine working your ass off/making a difference in your field of work and not being recognised because there is a current, energetic, hot new employee who has potential.

      Deep that. It’s sad.

You’re right. I do have to admit that it’s fcked up!!

It’s true. Give the legends their flowers while they are here. Unfortunately this does not happen in modern society. Your work ethic is not supported anymore, they care more about views/sales. It’s a shame ppl have to die to get recognition.

    Shoutout to Kendrick though.

Lots of legends haven’t done the half time show. No one batted an eye when Bruno Mars and Katy did the halftime shows early in their careers. Suddenly it’s an issue.
