Out of the gate, ‘Short n’ Sweet’ stormed in at #1 on the Official UK Album Chart. It did so with a mammoth 89,000 units sold in the UK.
Scoring the coveted chart double, Carpenter’s latest single ‘Taste’ simultaneously flew in at #1 on the Official UK Singles tally.

Both of the singer’s previous UK #1 hits, ‘Please Please Please’ and breakout smash ‘Espresso,’ follow at #2 and #3 respectively.
The feat sees Carpenter make UK chart history by becoming the first woman ever to simultaneously claim Top 3 UK singles and Number 1 UK album.
And while Ed Sheeran and Harry Styles are the only other acts to pull off the achievement, 25-year-old Carpenter one-ups the pair in becoming the youngest act ever to do so.
Needless to say, it looks like Pop’s newest “it girl” has arrived.
