The hotly anticipated Michael Jackson biopic is heading to the big screen, but a little later than initially announced.

Anchored by the King of Pop’s nephew Jaafar Jackson, the Antoine Fuqua-directed production had been set for release on April 18, 2025.
Now, it has been announced the launch of the film – which is being powered by Lionsgate in the US and Universal Pictures internationally – has shifted.
‘Michael’ will now debut on October 5, 2025.
A star-studded affair, the film sees Colman Domingo and Nia Long play MJ’s parents, Joseph Jackson and Katherine Jackson.
Additional casting includes Larenz Tate and Kat Graham as Berry Gordy and Diana Ross respectively.
‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ producer Graham King has been tapped to produce, while Oscar nominee John Logan helms the script.
