Love or loathe him, Chris Brown‘s stats are undeniable – especially at the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
As if breaking King of Rock N’ Roll Elvis Presley‘s record for most Gold-certified singles (among male singers) wasn’t enough to brag, he’s also listed in the organization’s logs for being the first male vocalist in their 72-year history to nab 20 Platinum-certified singles.
For context, “Gold” denotes sales of 500,000 in the United States while “Platinum” refers to sales equivalence of 1 million in the same territory.
Now, thanks to the ongoing success of hits like ‘No Guidance,’ ‘Loyal,’ ‘Look at Me Now,’ and more, Brown’s broken even more new ground at the RIAA.
Taking to press on Tuesday (November 12), Chris was greeted with news that his certifications log at the RIAA had been refreshed with several upgrades.

When all genres are considered, Brown is listed 10th place on the all-time list behind Drake (244 million), Rihanna (183 million), Eminem (167 million), Kanye West (160.5 million), Taylor Swift (137.5 million), Post Malone (136 million), The Weeknd (126 million), Justin Bieber (121.5 million), Travis Scott (121 million), and Beyonce (114.5 million).
#KING OF MUSIC/POP
& Michael Jackson’s RIAA total?
FREE STREAMING NUMBERS FREE STREAMING NUMBERS FREE STREAMING NUMBERS. Meanwhile the actual pure sales are less than 3 million lol
He ain’t worried about the pure numbers for a 5-year-old song when all in one year he can earn $9 million from just 3 shows, gross $82 million from a 26-city tour (the same gross as Janet’s 2003 tour after inflation), then plan a stadium show overseas and sell it out twice. Who do you think is getting the last laugh? The certifications and ticket sales are proof that a big audience is still engaging with Chris and his music after 20 years. That’s what every artist wants.

GOAT SH*T! FINALLY GAVE HIM HIS DIAMOND
A free screaming Numbers Single going Diamond is not goat s*** lol.
Unimpressive. All smoke and mirrors.
No guidance pure sales probably less than 3 million. He’s overall Singles definitely less than 20 million lol.
Breezy is way better than Beyawnce.
Beyoncé hasnt had an update since Break my soul released so her total is missing Cuff it and Texas Hold Em numbers.
Despite being black listed, Chris has consistently been putting out HITS! . The public rocks with him and there’s not much anyone can do to stop it. Not even the clowns over at the ID channel.
He has bops but is missing that one era that really solidified him. Everything has been blending together for the past 8 years…..
Haters can keep crying. …and he’s not finished.
Haters can keep crying. Shoot more documentaries. Sign more petitions. The man is a force of nature. Stadiums deserve Breezy not the other way around.
After “Fine China”, all the music sounds the same but can’t deny that some facet of the public rocks with him.
