The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee waxed candid about his stance on his place in the culture. He quipped:
“I’m still trying to create. I’m very much still in it. I say this humbly, but one day people are gonna wake up and realize that LL COOL J is the most important rapper that ever existed.”
Continuing, the veteran added:
“I truly believe one day people are gonna say that. They’ll say when it comes to the jewelry, that this is the guy that introduced all the diamonds, ice, and champagne. When it comes to the love songs, this is the guy who introduced all the love sh*t.”

LL is definitely is important to the culture. He’s been way more impactful than he gets credit for.
