Others are free to disagree of course, but personally, I’ll never forgive her for helping Trump get elected with her reckless statements about MVP Harris’s race and her claim that there would be mayhem no matter who won the election. She fed into a narrative that was already brewing to potentially dampened black voter turnout and even influence those who were on the fence about whether to vote and/or who to vote for.

Only clowns 🤡 voted for Kama the alcoholist

Celebrities don’t win or lose elections people going out to vote is what wins elections. More people didn’t vote than people who voted for either candidate. Your entitled to feel how you feel but blaming Janet or any celebrity is just a false narrative of what won the Orange guy the election.

I agree with you on that. It takes a combination of a lot of different factors and in a close race (it was actually closer than some people believe, the popular vote had a less than two percentage point differential and the blue wall states were very close as well, which had Harris won, she could have gotten to 270), each factor plays a role and can make a significant difference when combined with other factors. Harris did not have the luxury of overlooking any factor. We will never be able to go back and accurately measure or determine which factors did or didn’t make a difference, but I just know her comments risked a negative effect, which is enough for me to personally never forget it.

Why do black people feel entitled to DICTATE who other black people vote for? Black people in the US were republicans first and we did tremendously better as republicans and were more independent, more ambitious for home ownership, and more ambitious for owning businesses. I am black. I voted for Trump. NO ONE can tell me who to vote for. I am an adult. Janet’s small comment did NOT influence my vote. I have a lot of Indian friends and a lot of them told me they either voted for Trump or did not vote at all but none of them said they voted for Kamala. We do NOT need a president that feels entitled to the black vote but answers “NOTHING IN PARTICULAR COMES TO MIND” when asked what she would have done DIFFERENTLY than Biden. Kamala is MORE of an enemy than Trump. I like enemies I can SEE, READ, and HEAR and not enemies that smile and cackle in my face while overtaxing me, causing inflation, keeping people poor, keeping poor people poorer by opening borders to illegals, and ANTI-black because she is a pick-me to white people that don’t even like her like Biden and makes unintelligent statements that offend black people and our ancestors like her saying “I don’t think America is a racist country.”

In life there is KARMA. When Kamala went out of her way to condemn and paint guilt on Michael Jackson in 2004 AND 2005 she lost her ability to pay get his sister’s public support and I RESPECT an honest answer over a dictated and forced one.

Not all Black “feel entitled to DICTATE who other black people vote for.” Your comment began with a false premise. Everyone is entitled to make their own choice based on their own personal priorities and criteria. Personally, I would have had so much more respect for Janet had she come out and endorsed Trump and provided thought out reasons for doing so, as you just did. That is your choice and decision based on your personal assessment. But Janet, on the other, made uninformed, reckless, careless statements about what she “had heard” “they” found out and didn’t give any rational reason to vote for either side. Folks with platforms should at least know what they’re talking about before running their mouths or just say, “no comment.”

Anne you are NOT being fair or reasonable. You deny trying to dictate who black people vote for yet you demand abide by your dictation when speaking because of her platform. KARMA does NOT work that way. In 2004 and 2005 Kamala used her platform to cast hate, guilt, and public attack on Michael Jackson before he was found not guilty of all charges in 2005 based on what Kamala “had heard” and without “knowing what she was talking about before running her mouths” so when that KARMA was returned Janet served her just like she served her brother. Kamala KNEW what she was doing in 2004 and 2005 just like Janet KNEW what she was doing in 2024. These women SAID WHAT THEY SAID. They were BOTH PETTY used their “platforms” to attack each other’s families so in all fairness YOU are biased and closed to seeing the reality because the reality would force you to learn that you are indeed trying to DICTATE who black people vote for and DICTATE what black people SAY on their “platforms”. Perhaps if Kamala had said “no comment” in 2004 AND 2005 then Janet would have said “no comment” in 2024 but you seem to only have hate towards Janet.

So glad to see Janet continuing on the SHOW in show business.

Seeing this on closing night and from the clips I’ve seen, it’s gonna be exciting.

I wish she hadn’t said anything during election season, BUT her comment meant nothing in the final analysis. I can forgive and move on. I have more serious things to worry about in my actual life, plus no one that votes is truly influenced by a pop star.

  8. Javi January 2, 2025

I was hoping for a different show than the one she’s been doing the past 2 summers
