The ‘Walk It Out’ rapper tragically died at age 43 on January 24.
Speculation has been rife about the circumstances surrounding the Atlanta MC’s death. However, his wife Sherkita Long-Platt is setting the record straight.
Speaking with TMZ, she confirmed that Unk passed in his sleep after suffering a heart attack.
Sherkita was emphatic that, contrary to rumors, drugs were not involved and that Unk (born Anthony Leonard Platt) did not take drugs.
Breaking the news of Unk’s death on her Facebook page, she wrote:
“Please respect me and my family. I just lost my husband and my kids just lost their father. Our life will never be the same. I LOVE YOU ANTHONY FOREVER.”
