With Trump set to be sworn in as the 47th President of the United States on January 20, details have begun to pour in about who will be in attendance.
Case in point Carrie Underwood, who earned a polarizing response when news of her performance at the ceremony was announced.
Now, it has emerged that former First Lady, Michelle, is one of the names who will not be attending.
A brief, but direct statement from reps read:
“Former President Barack Obama is confirmed to attend the 60th Inaugural Ceremonies. Former First Lady Michelle Obama will not attend the upcoming inauguration.”
No reason was given.
Michelle. two terms as First Lady alongside her husband Barak Obama.
The Obamas had endorsed Democratic nominee Kamala Harris and have been vocal in their holistic denouncement of Trump.

I dont blame her, she should not attend if she doesn’t feel comfortable doing so and I can understand why. For him to be re-elected after leading an insurrection is likely something she is not willing to witness in person. Like me, Michelle doesn’t have the best poker face, her thoughts would’ve likely been written all over her face. Why attend when you know you’ll have a tough time emotionally?
