As reported, a lawsuit was filed against the femcee by a man named Brandon Garrett.
He alleges that the ‘Super Freaky Girl’ rapper slapped him backstage at the Detroit stop of her ‘Pink Friday 2 World Tour.’
Per Garrett, the incident transpired after Minaj allegedly lashed out at him over an errand regarding medication.
The superstar’s legal team has branded the claims “false and frivolous.”
However, a new report asserts that the 42-year-old superstar may now face criminal charges.
According to TMZ, Detroit Police have sent a warrant request to the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office. The matter is presently being reviewed to ascertain whether criminal charges will be filed.
While time will tell what transpires on the criminal front, Garrett is pressing ahead with his suit for assault, battery, and intentional infliction of emotional distress. He is seeking undisclosed monetary damages.
