Just a month after Doechii learned ‘Denial Is a River‘ marked a personal milestone when it became her highest Hot 100 debut yet, the ‘Alligator Bites Never Heal‘ single has risen to become the overall highest-charting hit of her career to date.

Hopping nearly 30 spots from its previous #55 peak, here are the figures that led to the #27 placement of ‘Denial’ on this week’s Hot 100.
- Sales ≈ 2,500 digital downloads
- Streams ≈ 13.9 million U.S. streams
- Radio airplay ≈ 8 million audience impressions
Amplified interest in the Ian James Beats-produced jam came after Doechii delivered what many deemed the performance of the night when she cranked out a live rendition of it at the 2025 GRAMMYs on Sunday (February 2).
The tune’s new #27 peak marks the highest rung the GRAMMY winner has reached on the Hot 100 to date, surpassing her previous personal best – 2023’s Kodak Black-assisted ‘What It Is (Block Boy).’
At writing, both songs are the rising rapper’s only top 40 hits.
Doe’s not the only one who had an amazing post-GRAMMY week on the all-genre chart, however. Click here to see this week’s updated TGJ Chart Check.
