Voletta Wallace, mother of the late Notorious B.I.G., has sadly died.

According to TMZ, the matriarch passed away this morning (February 21) in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania.
She was 78.
Voletta was reportedly in hospice care and she is said to have died of natural causes.
Thrust into the spotlight upon the 1997 murder of her son (who was born Christopher Wallace), she was an ardent torch-carrier of his legacy and was instrumental in presiding over his Estate.
Our thoughts are with Voletta’s loved ones. May she Rest in Peace.
