The eight-time Grammy winner explained why he skipped the 2025 GRAMMYs, citing the devastating California wildfires as the reason for his absence. He felt that this year’s Grammys didn’t feel like a celebratory moment.

Speaking with Hudson, Usher admitted that scheduling conflicts kept him from starring in the Oscar-winning musical film, where he would’ve joined an all-star cast including Beyonce, Jamie Foxx, and Jennifer Hudson herself.
