Playboi Carti Drops 'Music' Album

It’s a good week to be Playboi Carti.

Celebrating the ongoing success of his third studio album ‘Music,’ the Atlantan hitmaker (born Jordan Carter) watched the LP soar to the top of this week’s Billboard 200 on the wings of his biggest first-week sales yet.

And while the album chart championship is nothing to shake a stick at, his victory on the Hot 100 side of Billboard is even more jaw-dropping.

This week saw Carti become the first artist of color and first rapper in the Hot 100’s 67-year history to have at least 31 simultaneous entries – 30 of which came from the ‘Music’ album alone.

For context, Playboi is currently owning more than 30% of the hitlist by his lonesome.

So not impressive. Basically everybody with even a little bit of talent who links up with Satan goes to the top. Beyonce is just one example. Nas X is another. Travis Scott is another. Add this man to the list.
