A judge in Texas officially rejected the criminal’s request for an early release.
The 64-year-old is currently serving a life sentence for killing the Queen of Tejano music in 1995.
Per the parole board reviewing her bid, the rejection is due to the violent nature of her crime and the collective sentiment that she poses a “continuing threat” to the community.
As reported, she was initially granted the ability to petition for parole, much to the disdain of the late singer’s ever-loyal fanbase.
Yet, many are collectively rejoicing after Saldivar’s denial.
She will next be eligible for parole in 2030, when she is 69.
