Nearly 5 years separate fans of Lady Gaga fans (affectionately called #LittleMonsters) from her last traditional solo studio album, ‘Chromatica,’ but the wait for a new body of work came to close with the release of ‘Mayhem‘ on Friday (March 7).
Speaking on the LP, the 14-time GRAMMY winner shared:
“The album started as me facing my fear of returning to the pop music my earliest fans loved,” she said. “Even if you can’t put the pieces back together perfectly, you can create something beautiful and whole in its own new way.”
A 14-track affair kicked off by the history-making #1 hit ‘Die with a Smile‘ as well as top 40 smashes ‘Disease‘ and ‘Abracadabra,’ the new album boasts features from the likes of Bruno Mars and Gesaffelstein as well as production contribution from big names like Andrew Watt, Henry Walter, Mike Levy, Cirkut, James Fauntleroy, D’Mile, and even Gaga’s fiance Michael Polansky.

“Blade of Grass” is literally the ONLY Original sounding song in the heap. Yes, heap as in garbage. This monotonous noise just beggars belief 🤦🏻♀️
