Morgan Wallen and Tate McRae‘s Country-Pop crossover ‘What I Want’ has debuted at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100, marking a major milestone for both artists.

The track, which is lifted from Wallen’s newly released album ‘I’m the Problem’ (which also opened at #1 on the Billboard 200), becomes Wallen’s fourth Hot 100 leader and McRae’s first.
Prior to now, McRae’s previous high was the #3 peak of her viral hit ‘Greedy’ in January 2024.
This tracking week of May 16–22, “What I Want” earned:
- 31.2 million official streams
- 3.9 million radio airplay audience impressions
- 2,000 copies sold
