As his latest single ‘Azizam‘ continues to blaze Billboard charts (#28 Hot 100 peak to date), Ed Sheeran is capitalizing off the momentum by confirming the project’s parent album, ‘Play,’ will land on digital shelves on September 12.

Ahead of its Fall arrival, Sheeran is giving his dedicated fans (affectionately called #Sheerios) another taste of the music set to line the project by unveiling the new song ‘Old Phone.’

“Conversations with my dead friends / Messages from all my exes / I kinda think that this was best left / In the past where it belongs / I feel an overwhelming sadness / Of all the friends I do not have left,” he sings on the reflective track.

To celebrate the release of ‘Phone,’ Ed launched the Instagram account @teddysoldphone that features never-before-seen photos from his actual old phone which he stopped using in 2015.
