Ananda Lewis, the renowned MTV host, has sadly died.

Various sources, including WPGC radio, confirm that the revered anchor passed away today (June 11) after a brave battle with breast cancer.
She was 52.
Lewis, who rose to prominence as an omnipresent host on the cable network during the 90s through to 2001, revealed her diagnosis in 2020.
At the time, she shared that she had been battling the condition for two years and cited an avoidance of mammograms for the later diagnosis.
Drawing on her own condition, the former model encouraged the masses to embrace screenings for early detection.
In October 2024, Lewis announced that her cancer had progressed to stage four after years of using alternative medicine.
Beyond her tenure with MTV, Lewis held roles on The Insider and Entertainment Tonight, as well as heading up ‘The Ananda Lewis Show.’
