Eddy Garcia, a former security supervisor at the InterContinental Hotel in Century City, testified that Kristina Khorram Diddy’s then-chief of staff contacted him in March 2016.
She asked about surveillance footage showing an altercation between Diddy and Cassie Ventura, claiming the mogul had been intoxicated and couldn’t remember the incident.
Garcia alerted his supervisor, Bill Medrano, and together they arranged to retrieve the video from the hotel’s server. Medrano agreed to hand it over for $50,000. Garcia said Diddy got on the phone, called him an “angel,” and pushed to close the deal immediately.
Thereafter, Garcia delivered the footage stored on a USB drive to Diddy at a high-rise in West Los Angeles. He said Diddy handed over a paper bag stuffed with $100,000 in cash. Kristina Khorram and another security guard witnessed the exchange.
During the meeting, Diddy allegedly FaceTimed Cassie, who confirmed she didn’t want the video released because she had a movie coming out.
Prosecutors now cite the alleged payoff as key evidence in their RICO case, arguing that Diddy used bribery and intimidation as part of a broader criminal enterprise.
