Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is pushing back, hard.
The music mogul’s legal team has filed a motion begging a Brooklyn judge to release him on a whopping $50 million bond, arguing that his continued detention is both excessive and unprecedented.

Though Diddy dodged the biggest bullets in the outcome of his federal trial, racketeering and sex trafficking, he was convicted of two counts under the Mann Act for allegedly flying in male escorts to engage in sex acts with his longtime girlfriend. According to his lawyers, Diddy never even slept with the escorts himself, and they claim no one else in the country is sitting behind bars for this. They stated:
“Sean Combs should not be in jail for this conduct. In fact, he may be the only person currently in a United States jail for being any sort of john, and certainly the only person in jail for hiring adult male escorts for him and his girlfriend, when he did not even have sex with the escort himself.”
The legal docs paint Diddy as no threat to the community, noting his enrollment in a domestic violence program and offering strict terms if released, including house arrest, mental health treatment, and electronic monitoring.
