The Philly Rap royal sat down with Angie Martinez for her IRL podcast and addressed the long-standing rumor that she “leveled up” by marrying British Gumball 3000 mogul Maximillion Cooper.
Social media has been quick to label him a billionaire, but the ‘Tambourine’ hitmaker made it clear that:
“He’s not a billionaire, he ain’t broke but I ain’t broke either so I’m not gonna be with a broke dude.”
Though Cooper isn’t technically a billionaire, his pockets run deep, and together they’ve built an empire and a family. But Eve shut down the idea that marriage is the reason for her soft girl era, she says:
“Before I met him I was doing work but because I have him it helped me do better work because he’s a good dude I’m like really lucky. But beyond that people who know me, who know me intimately, my friends, know that I don’t stop working on myself. I do all the things do the healing, I do the acupuncture, I do the spinal energetics, I do the reiki, I do the breathwork. That’s my life, that’s who I am for real.”
And while she hasn’t dropped an album since 2013’s ‘Lip Lock,’ don’t count her out. Soft girl? Maybe. But don’t forget – she’s still Ruff Ryders royalty.

I’m glad Angie interviewed Eve because I missed Eve. I truly enjoyed her commentary on “The Talk” and her energy gave the show little edge that was quite unique.
