According to newly filed court documents, the singer has agreed to dismiss her lawsuit against the actor with prejudice, meaning the case cannot be reopened.
In a joint statement via their attorneys, both parties expressed a desire to move forward, stating:
“Committed to forging a constructive path forward, we have agreed to settle our case out of court. While the details of the settlement will remain private, we wish each other personal happiness, professional success, and peace in the future.”
The lawsuit, originally filed in 2020, alleged emotional and physical abuse during their relationship, a claim LaBeouf has repeatedly denied. Twigs previously told The New York Times that:
“What I went through with Shia was the worst thing I’ve ever been through in the whole of my life, I don’t think people would ever think that it would happen to me. But I think that’s the thing. It can happen to anybody.”
The settlement marks a quiet end to a case that added to the global conversations about abuse and accountability.
