Let Megan Thee Stallion tell it, she’s finally hit a slam dunk in the romance department thanks to new beau / Dallas Mavericks star Klay Thompson.
Just days after their social media hard launch to confirm their relationship, the duo made their red carpet debut at Stallion’s inaugural Pete & Thomas Foundation Gala in New York City’s Gotham Hall on Wednesday (July 16).
While dazzling the press at the event, Meg (born Megan Pete) broke her silence about the union.

Megan, turning heads in a striking halter-neck black gown, chatted it up with ‘Page Six’ and ‘People’ about her new boo.
“Oh, we met and it was such a meet cute it was like a f——- movie,” Megan told the latter when describing how she met Klay. “I won’t tell you how and I won’t tell you when, but it was a movie that he’s the nicest person I’ve ever met in my life.”
While talking with ‘Six,’ the 30-year-old GRAMMY winner beamed about how unique her relationship with the NBA baller has been.
“I have never dated somebody so kind. This is my first relationship where I’ve ever been with somebody who’s genuinely a nice person, and he makes me genuinely happy,” she shared before saying, “I just never dated somebody like him before and I’m just grateful that he’s here by my side and he feels the same way about me.”
Elsewhere, Meg gushed about the importance of the event for her foundation named in honor of her late parents Holly Thomas and Joseph Pete III.
“I feel like I’m carrying on a good legacy of my family name. I know [my parents are] looking down on me super proud,” the rapstress said of the fundraiser which which is raising funds for programs focused on education, housing, health and wellness.
