Ray J has had enough of Whitney Houston fans and conspiracy theorists blaming him for the untimely death of the Pop icon.
During what he branded may be his “last interview” ever, the R&B singer-actor-reality TV star sat down with Cam Newton‘s ‘Funky Friday’ podcast (July 25) to dish about his career-at-large including his brief romance with the ‘I Will Always Love You‘ diva.

Ray (born Willie Norwood Jr.) finally broke his silence about longtime rumors that he was involved in the singer’s death.
While some theorists have flat out asserted he murdered the then-48-year-old diva, others claim he sold her the drugs that ultimately caused her demise.
Recounting the night of her death (February 11, 2012), Norwood says he was not near the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles where her body was found at the time of her passing. He also denied all related allegations.
“To make me that person when I wasn’t even there [when she died], and then to put ‘murderer’ on top of that [is too much],” he shared with the football star (as seen in the clip above).
Later in the sit-down chat, Norwood revealed why he waited to long to open up about the haunting accusations of his involvement in her demise.
“When you know the truth, why do you have to jump out there and try to tell it to everyone,” he asked before saying, “It’s so distasteful for somebody to tell somebody [else] something that the other person can’t respond to. To me, it’s unfair. But now that the sh-t’s going everywhere, it’s just hurtful.”
Lastly, Ray outrightly denied ever abusing substances with Houston but would not clarify if he ever saw her doing so alone.
“I’ve never done one drug with Whitney,” he relayed to Newton before declining to speak on the diva’s alleged solo drug use.
At writing, reps from Houston’s estate have not responded to Ray’s candid interview.
