Chris Brown‘s Billboard and Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) stats are bordering on untouchable at this point.

First male vocalist to own 20 Platinum-certified singles? He did that. Most Gold-certified singles among male singers? He did that too.

And just when it seemed there were no new record-setting feats to achieve at the RIAA, the 36-year-old has learned a recent update at the organization has pushed him to even higher heights in their history books.

As reported here, the RIAA took to press earlier this month to announce 21 certification updates to his log of hits.

Beyond picking up plaques for ‘Loyal’ and ‘Forever’ (both 8x platinum), Breezy also captured upgrades for ‘Kiss Kiss’ and ‘Go Crazy’ (both 6x platinum) and ‘New Flame‘ and ‘Deuces‘ (4x Platinum each).

Other notable titles from his discography to get certification updates were ‘Back to Sleep,’ ‘Grass Ain’t Greener,’ ‘Don’t Wake Me Up,’ ‘Don’t Judge Me,’ ‘Residuals,’ ‘No BS,’ and ‘Hope You Do’ (among others).

The 21 Brown tunes listed above helped bring his current cumulative single sales to 133.5 million – the most of any male R&B singer in American music history.

When all genres are considered, Brown is listed 8th place on the all-time list behind Drake (251 million), Rihanna (188 million), Eminem (167 million), Kanye West (163 million), Beyonce (161.5 million), Post Malone (142 million), and Taylor Swift (137.5 million).

Brown also boasts 66 Gold plaques and 28 multi-Platinum plaques for singles – the most in each category of any male singer ever (regardless of genre).

When all acts are considered, Drake (38), Rihanna (34), Beyonce (32), Kanye West (30), and Eminem (30) have more multi-Platinum single certifications.

Interesting because he’s NEVER on any billboard “top” lists 🤔

Reading is fundamental. Billboard is the publication that usually announces this. He’s breaks records.Thats his usual.
I never understood the comparison to Usher who’s a good artist but he’s never been at the level of Chris Brown. Chris syarted his career with buzz and hasn’t let up since. Bery first single #1 . Over Usher every body. His talent was remarkable above even the legends and he was at a ponacle being compared to Mike Jax. I just don’t understand where usher comes into the picture. Nothing against him they aren’t comparable.
