It’s likely no coincidence Kesha chose to drop her highly anticipated sixth studio album, ‘Period,’ on Independence Day (July 4) as it serves as the first release on her eponymous independent label.
Her inaugural offering post departing RCA and the Dr. Luke-driven Kemosabe Records in December 2023, ‘Period’ – the follow-up to May 2023’s ‘Gag Order‘ – serves as a return to form for the Dance Pop diva who’s spent many of the last years experimenting with more Rock and Folk-based sounds.
Introducing fans (affectionately called #Animals) to the 11-song set courtesy of singles ‘Joyride,’ ‘Boy Crazy,’ ‘Delusional,’ ‘Yippee-Ki-Yay,’ and ‘The One,’ the new LP boasts production contributions from big names like Nova Wav, Pink Slip, and Zhone.
