With a career that spans decades, the MC has sold over 20 million albums worldwide, cementing his status as one of hip-hop’s most enduring and innovative artists.
The presentation ceremony was packed with admiration. Hip-hop heavyweights took the podium to honor Busta’s influence and legacy. LL Cool J, whose flow Busta once mimicked while crafting his earliest rhymes, delivered heartfelt words alongside Big Daddy Kane and Public Enemy’s Chuck D, both pioneers in their own right.
Busta shared his excitement for the recognition:
“I feel complete today. As we completed this chapter and started giving birth to a new one. I’m no longer Daniel-San in this s—t, I’m Mr. Miyagi now,”

When you die, you’re the only one going in that urn on the shelf or that box and hole in the ground. So you better live how YOU want instead of worrying about the opinions of people who don’t really know you or strangers who don’t care about you. 💁🏽♂️
