As reported, the Hip-Hop icon became embroiled in quite the drama after publicly bemoaning the presence of a same sex couple in Pixar’s ‘Lightyear.’
The ‘Drop It Like It’s Hot’ MC unpacked his discomfort watching the movie with his 6-year-old grandson, who he says left him speechless when inquiring about why a character had “two moms.”
Snoop vented, “They’re putting it everywhere.”
A backlash erupted, and condemnation was swift and damning.
Responding to the melee, the performer left a comment on a social media post about the matter on Hollywood Unlock’s Instagram. He wrote:
“I was just caught off guard and had no answer for my grandsons. All my gay friends [know] what’s up, they been calling me with love. My bad for not knowing the answers for a 6-yr-old. Teach me how to learn. I’m not perfect.”
Snoop’s words come as reports allege that execs at NBC were evaluating the situation, given the star’s coaching role on their hit series ‘The Voice.’
