Cardi B is quite the clever girl.
Although her beloved fanbase (affectionately called the #BardiGang) are still heaping praise on her critically acclaimed sophomore album, the September 19-released ‘Am I the Drama,’ many were bummed to see a number of songs expected to make the cut missing from the tracklist.
That changed on Thursday (September 25).
Somewhat appeased by the inclusion of 2020’s ‘WAP‘ and 2021’s ‘Up,’ other fans made noise about the absence of post-‘Invasion of Privacy’ releases like ‘Enough (Miami),’ ‘Press,’ ‘Money,’ ‘Like What,’ and the Megan Thee Stallion-assisted ‘Bongos.’
To answer the growing calls, Cardi launched a website-exclusive version of ‘Drama’ expanding its tracklist from 23 to 30 and featuring all of the aforementioned tunes as well as the Bruno Mars-assisted ‘Please Me’ and a new song ‘Dear Bardi Gang.’
A shrewd business move no doubt, the last-minute variant – reportedly available until 11:59pm PST on Thursday (September 25) – was lifted on the last day of the LP’s first week of sales tracking as a last-minute push to ensure it exceeds those industry predictions of a 200,000 opening.
