Speaking on the Brilliant Idiot’s podcast, The Breakfast Club co-host, who identifies as heterosexual, compared the intended insult to what he calls “Thanksgiving turkeys” jokes the culture feeds on for weeks, sometimes becoming permanent nicknames.
He pointed to long-running digs at Dash like “Debt Dash” and “Debt Jam Records,” which stem from the mogul’s financial disputes.
Charlamagne admitted he’s faced similar ridicule, noting that rumors about his sexuality have followed him for years.
He spilled:
“That’s been going on since forever.”
He went on to credit rapper Webbie for sparking the running joke.

As for Dash, Charlamagne suggested the mogul’s comments came from pride rather than malice, adding that Dash seems overly invested in how the internet perceives him.
