Diddy‘s legal saga is far from over.
More details below…
The music mogul’s defence team will argue to overturn his convictions on 2 federal counts of the Mann Act. His team is asking to change his conviction to an acquittal or give him a new trial.
This comes after his lawyers previously urged the judge for a lighter sentence, citing his contributions to music and role as a father.
However, Federal prosecutors have countered that there was plenty of evidence to support the jury’s convictions, arguing that Diddy was the mastermind of every aspect of his infamous freak-offs.
Both sides will be arguing today (September 25) in a courtroom.
The hearing is expected to be tense, with the prosecution determined to uphold the jury’s decision while the defence insists that justice wasn’t properly served the first time around.
As it stands, DIddy is due to be sentenced on October 3.
