Doja Cat Unveils Official ‘Vie’ Album Cover, Hits Back at Fan Critique

Published: Tuesday 23rd Sep 2025 by Sam

Doja Cat has never been one to bite her tongue about her feelings. Even when it comes to her own fans.

With new album ‘Vie’ just days away from its September 26 release, the multiphenate has unlocked the official cover for the project.

And it’s divided fans, who clearly had an affinity with what they perceived was the artwork (above).

Full story below…

The 29-year-old drew the curtain back on the ‘Vie’ cover, which sees her landing stylishly in a parachute.

Check it out:

Opening up about the artwork, Doja gushed:

“Falling in love is putting trust in the hands of yourself and others. The yellow parachute represents curiosity, happiness, and adventure. Flying you towards new experiences and scenes, taking a leap of faith, and holding no bounds. The tree represents life and wisdom. Giving you a sense of safety within its branches, but the pain from the fall teaches you that those scratches can be healed. You don’t have to hit the ground. Love grows upward but more importantly down. It’s the roots that keep you steady. This is the cover of my album.”

Not all fans were impressed by the cover, however. Indeed, many flooded social media to express their preference for what was initially touted as the official artwork for the LP.

Addressing the blowback, the stage blazer took to X with:

“You can’t make me feel bad for a cover that has visceral meaning. The greatest armor is love and integrity. I forgive your harsh criticism but for me I won yet again for following my heart. If I was you I wouldn’t.”

She added:

“It’s the perfect cover.”

With that, what are…

Your thoughts?

Why wasting arguing with these stupid trolls? Save yo breath, Doja. The cover is good for a folk acoustic album but not 80s throw back. I hate these fake fans calling the artists mothers, they are probably even older than the artists. Gurl bye! Stop pretending like y’all are just born yesterday.

Girl you know she wanted to let them have it but since Jealous Type is flopping she’s speaking real soft lol she needs everyone on board for those first week numbers

I wish her return to Pop after Scarlet had been more organic and less contrived but hope it’s a good record and better than the lead single
