According to new reports, a Los Angeles judge has ordered the rapper-turned-fashion mogul to cough up $76,000 in legal fees to a former Yeezy employee who’s suing him over alleged workplace harassment.
The anonymous employee sued him in February. She accused him of antisemitism, discriminatory practices, and humiliation. He also allegedly referred to himself as “Hitler,” sent her nude photos of another woman, and forced her to work on West’s “Yeezy P*rn” idea, which she didn’t want to do.
Still, the court sided with the plaintiff on one matter: West needs to cover their legal costs as the case heads toward trial.
The rapper’s lawyer said:
“We certainly do think there are very interesting First Amendment issues that could lead to additional appeals. At this point, we intend to aggressively move along with litigation.”
For West, who’s no stranger to lawsuits and controversies, this latest ruling adds another layer to his already messy year.
With the harassment lawsuit still unresolved, this payout could be just the beginning of a bigger legal bill for Ye.
