Yikes! Just days after Cardi B admitted to the ‘Call Her Daddy‘ podcast that she was over her longstanding feud with Nicki Minaj, it appears their 7-year-old beef has been reheated all due to the gargantuan success of her sophomore album ‘Am I the Drama.’
Last week, fans of Cardi B (affectionately known as #BardiGang) were giving side-eyes galore to Minaj for conveniently ending her social media hiatus to announce a new album the week Cardi (born Belcalis Almanzar) was heavy into promo mode for ‘Drama.’
In the days that followed, Nicki – as sales predictions about ‘Drama’ were flooding the net – retweeted several posts about her own sales stats. The moves were taken by many to be subliminal disses.
Once the final first-week numbers were announced for Cardi’s sophomore album, Minaj continued to share tweets that seemingly downplayed the success of ‘Drama’ and touted her own projects (namely 2023’s ‘Pink Friday 2‘) as superior due to the failure of ‘Drama’ to surpass ‘PF2’s first-week sales figures.
Between the retweets and Nicki sharing an interestingly timed stanza of bars (seen above) the same day it was announced Belcalis had bounced to the top of the Billboard 200 (September 28), the ‘Bodak Yellow‘ rapper had apparently had enough of the shenanigans.
Taking to X (formerly known as Twitter) on Monday night (September 29), Cardi launched a series of tweets aimed at Nicki, her husband, and her brother Jelani Maraj who was sentenced to 25 years in jail for reportedly sexually assaulting an 11-year-old girl.
The statements only ignited a fury of tweets from Minaj, many of which were deleted after being posted.

Had Cardi not went on Spaces saying she was “gonna outsell”, made a genuinely decent album, and not include 4 & 5 year old ass songs just to get an instant RIAA plaque based on a technicality & not true merit or artistry, maybe people would respect her a little more.
if I’m being honest, I also don’t care because I also don’t care for her regarding the fact that she can’t rap. It’s one thing for a Nicki Minaj, or a Megan Thee stallion (who I can’t stand as a person), or a Doja Cat or any other female rapper who actually raps and writes their own sh!t to get this kind of feat ( even if I don’t care for or support their artistry) because their success is partially gained because of their own hard work and merit.
