On a new episode of the ‘Shut Up Evan’ podcast, the ‘Wicked’ star revealed that after her show-stopping 2013 AMAs performance, Beyonce invited her on the set of a video shoot, and Grande recalled:
“She was just being kind and gave me a little bit of advice.”
Over the years, the pair have shared mutual respect for each other, with Grande often crediting Bey as a significant influence on her vocal style and citing Destiny’s Child as one of her major inspirations.
From 2013 to now, Grande still holds that moment with the music icon dear, saying:
“Even if I’m not super close, it was just a really kind thing for her to do that.”
