Taylor Swift has once again made music history.
Her latest release, ‘The Life of a Showgirl,’ has officially scored the biggest first-week numbers ever recorded for an album, surpassing Adele.

According to Billboard, the project moved more than 3.5 million equivalent album units in its first five days, combining both sales and streaming.
That total surpasses Adele’s 2015 hit album, ’25,’ which debuted with 3.482 million units, a record that has remained strong since its release in December 2015.
While ‘The Life of a Showgirl’ has sparked mixed reviews from critics, the numbers tell a different story. Swift’s latest success showcases her dominance and staying power across genres and generations.
Nearly ten years after Adele set the bar, Taylor Swift has raised it once again.

Im Surprised the reviews are mixed, I hear true MUSICALITY for the fist time in a long time from Taylor as opposed to the simple corny ordinary stuff she usually makes. Granted I haven’t heard rvery song but the SINGLE is almost as good as Taylor’s 2 best songs… BLACK SPACE & SHAKE IT OFF. This is the first album by Taylor since 1989 that I wouldn’t find it a CHOIR to listen to.
I just think it’s unfair that these White ppl would rather listen to Adele & Taylor more than Beyoncé’s white ppl music like IASF & COWBOY CARTER.

Funny how other artists have been getting filtered sales figures, yet Taylor’s sales are crystal clear even before the tracking week is over. People can’t even crack 100k first week and your expect me to believe 3.5 million people bought that album without hearing a single note from it beforehand?
