As expected, Taylor Swift‘s domination of streaming and digital sales sites with her new album ‘Life of a Showgirl‘ is nothing short of historic; just ask the good folks at Spotify.
Having already broken the platform’s record for most pre-saves ahead of the LP’s launch on Friday (October 3), she’s now danced to even more history-making feats thanks to her anxious fans (affectionately called #Swifties) who couldn’t wait to get their hands on her 12th studio effort.

Taking to press on Friday, reps at Spotify revealed ‘Showgirl’ – just 12 hours after its midnight arrival to digital shelves – shimmied to the most single-day streams of any album released this year.
While Apple Music confirmed the feat was replicated on their platform among 2025 releases, Amazon Music took it a step further to announce it collected more single-day streams than any other album in the history of their site/app.

As if that’s not enough to celebrate, ‘Showgirl’ favorite ‘Fate of Ophelia‘ – the LP’s first song and lead single – is now the most-streamed song in a single day on Apple Music and Spotify.
Hear the tune in full below.
At writing, Amazon Music, Apple Music, nor Spotify has shared any specific numbers on exactly how many streams ‘Showgirl’ amassed in day one.
