Khalid is getting candid about being outted as a gay man.
As reported, the ‘Location’ singer was sensationally exposed by former lover Hugo Almonte last year. The model shockingly took to social media to dish details on the star’s sexuality and their doomed union.
On the back of the drama, Khalid spoke openly about being gay for the first time and condemned the chaos ignited by Almonte.
Currently on the promotional trail for his new album ‘After The Sun Goes Down,’ his latest stop was the ‘Baby, This is Keke Palmer’ podcast, and he opened up about it in earnest.

Asked about how he managed to overcome to scandal, Khalid said:
“Dealing with the embarrassment of it all.
People might expect me to go into hiding. Like, ‘oh my God, I don’t want anybody to know I’m gay.’
It’s like, ‘no, I’m gay. Yeah. And it happened. And I am (still) here.’ “
