Jhene Aiko has not formally addressed rumors she and longtime boyfriend Big Sean have ended their ten-year relationship yet, but she may be giving a hint about the matter via her surprise-dropped new single ‘Break.’

Delivered to streaming services on Tuesday (November 18), the LEJKEYS-produced ballad speaks of forlornness and struggling to come to grips with extreme feelings of loss.

“I can’t escape the heartbreak, break, break / I can’t explain the way I’ve been made to feel  It’s an immeasurable pain, pain, pain / And I’m not even sure any of it’s real,” she wails on the new tune.

At writing, it’s not been confirmed of ‘Break’ will appear on her highly anticipated fourth studio album – the follow-up to 2020’s R&B chart-topping ‘Chilombo.’

Until we find out for sure, enjoy the new tune inside.
