Proclaimed “MAGA Barbie,” Minaj has once again found herself at the centre of controversy after comments made during an appearance at AmericaFest, a conservative event backed by political figure Erika Kirk.
The remarks, which aired on national television, have been widely condemned by viewers and advocacy groups as transphobic, igniting a fresh wave of online backlash and renewed scrutiny over how such statements go unchallenged on mainstream broadcasts.
As previously reported, Minaj publicly expressed her respect and admiration for Donald Trump and his administration during the event.
However, it was her statements such as “if you are born a boy, be a boy” and “boys will be boys” that quickly went viral, drawing intense criticism.
