Nicki Minaj is once again at the center of controversy, this time after unleashing a string of political tweets targeting California Governor Gavin Newsom and voicing support for Vice President JD Vance.
The Rap royal’s posts quickly spread online, with fans and critics reacting in real time as her commentary veered from memes to targeted attacks.

The femcee began by praising Vance, calling him sharp, strategic, and untouchable in debate, before abruptly turning her attention to Newsom and his advocacy for transgender youth.
“Imagine being the guy running on wanting to see trans kids,” she wrote, adding that adults should want children to be “healthy, safe, happy.”
She went on to mock the governor’s appearance, confidence, and political future, suggesting his ambitions were already over.
The tweets are the latest in a growing pattern of outspoken political takes from Minaj, whose support of President Donald Trump has also drawn intense scrutiny. As of writing, Newsom has not responded.
