Abraham Quintanilla Jr., the father and longtime manager of late Tejano icon Selena Quintanilla, has died at 86.

The news was confirmed Saturday (December 13) by his son, A.B. Quintanilla, who posted an emotional tribute on Instagram.
He wrote:
“It’s with a heavy heart to let you guys know that my Dad passed away today.”
As of writing, no cause of death has been shared publicly.
Abraham and his wife, Marcella Quintanilla, helped build Selena y Los Dinos into a family powerhouse, with A.B. on bass and Suzette Quintanilla on drums. Abraham’s guiding hand remained a key part of Selena’s rise before her tragic murder in 1995.
