Jennifer Lopez is toasting one of the most defining eras of her career.
The multihyphenate superstar has officially announced the 25th anniversary edition ‘J.Lo,’ the sophomore album that cemented her name and music in the history books and fabric of pop culture.

Set to arrive on January 16, the commemorative anniversary edition lands exactly 25 years after the original album’s release in 2001.
Lopez trumpeted the news, along with the striking artwork (above) on social media.
Fans can pre-save the project now, with a limited gold vinyl pressing also confirmed.
Christened after the nickname given to her by supporters, the ‘J.Lo’ LP served s a pivotal shift for the Bronx native; one which saw her lean more into her regional roots. Both sonically and aesthetically. It’s widely considered a cornerstone of the Y2K era.
The album launched at #1 on the Billboard 200, the same week her romantic comedy The Wedding Planner topped the Stateside box office, making her one of the few entertainers to lead both charts simultaneously.
The era also delivered signature hits, including Love Don’t Cost a Thing, which became a global smash, as well as ‘I’m Real,’ and ‘Play.’
News of the ‘J.Lo’ 25th anniversary edition comes as the diva dazzles at her ‘Up All Night’ residency in Las Vegas.

I see she Still not giving Christina Milan any credits on the play song.. every song her voice is different on this record… like the chorus on ain’t it funny’ and love don’t cost a thing…

I feel like Rebirth was her best album to date and it served as a good comeback for her as well. Her most experimental record imo.
I only like Get Right, Cherry Pie, Hold you down & Whatever U wanna do.
But the whole album is giving Amerie and Beyonce.

Her career is a product of pretty privilege. Now that the generation that swooned over her has aged out and lost interest in her looks and personal life, she has nothing of substance to offer them or anyone else.

It would be cool if she did a full roll out on this and promoted it as she did in 2001 and performed songs she has never performed before like The pleasure is mine but lucky for me I’m not delusional
