According to Deadline, the decision comes amid Netflix’s latest internal viewership analysis, which weighed performance against long-term growth potential.

Season 2 of ‘The Vince Staples Show,’ which debuted last November, reportedly drew 1.7 million views and failed to crack Netflix’s weekly Top 10. By comparison, the first season logged 4.6 million views across a longer measurement window earlier in its run. A significant dip.

Despite modest numbers, the series earned strong praise, landing with a 94% critics’ score and 88% audience rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

Loosely inspired by the Long Beach rapper’s real life, the show was applauded for its offbeat humor and sharp social commentary.

As of writing, neither Staples nor Netflix has publicly addressed the cancellation confirmation.
