Full story below…
While on a promo run for his latest single, which has been gaining traction online, the rapper opened up about his controversial 2021 Rolling Loud comments that sparked backlash and led to what many described as his “cancellation.”
He shared at the time:
“If you didn’t show up today with HIV, AIDS, or any of them deadly sexually transmitted diseases, then put your cellphone lighter up.
Fellas, if you ain’t sucking d**k in the parking lot, put your cellphone lighter up.”
The remarks, which targeted the LGBTQIA+ and HIV communities, significantly impacted his career at the time.
Now, he says he stands by how everything played out.
Speaking on a recent podcast, DaBaby addressed the fallout, saying:
“N***s still saying sh*t like that now — but they not Baby. They’re not a household name in every goddamn continent of the world.”

Safe to say, DaBaby is focused on moving forward and not looking at his past mistakes or lack thereof.
