Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-Texas) has developed quite the reputation for not mincing words over the years, but the outspoken politician’s recent speech hoisted her to the top of the sh-tlist of one of music’s most active fan bases: Nicki Minaj‘s #Barbz.

Joining the chorus of critics chastising the Rap diva for her recent headline-grabbing foray into conservative politics, Crockett chatted it up with TMZ on Tuesday (February 4) to share her unfiltered opinion about Minaj’s MAGA moves.
“I just don’t do sellouts, especially in this moment. Things are too serious. There are too many people that are being harmed,” Crockett told the outlet (as seen in the video above) after relaying, “I’ve always loved Cardi B more.”
When quizzed about why she think Nicki’s taken such a sudden public-facing interest in politics, Jasmine shared her theories surrounding the Rap Queen’s immigration status – inspiration the Texas rep argues is ill-timed if true.
“And especially with her being an immigrant, then deciding to go and cozy up to this administration that is specifically putting targets on the backs of immigrants and anyone who stands with them … that is wrong, and I don’t even understand how you can play with it and pretend like it’s anything but wrong,” Jasmine said.
All-in-all, Crockett believes this run of Trump support will not end well for the Harajuku Barbie who made headlines just last week for proclaiming she was “the president’s no.1 fan.”
“She’s just on the wrong side of history,” Crockett shared. “So, I hope that people remember all of this when she comes back and she’s broke and she’s begging for money and support because something tells me MAGA ain’t gonna do it for her.”
At writing, Nicki has not responded to Jasmine’s staunch criticism.
