With that 2021 homophobic backlash seemingly in his rear view, DaBaby – despite several failed attempts in the years since – finally seems to have his hands on a comeback hit with his latest viral single ‘Pop Dat Thang.’
Having first found popularity on Tik Tok, the tune – one of many gems listed aboard his January 2026-released album ‘Be More Grateful‘ – is steadily climbing up the Billboard Hot 100 (enjoying a new peak of #59 this week).
That position marks the highest he’s seen on the chart since the year he was nearly blackballed for his anti-LGBT sentiments.
To capitalize on the momentum of what some are calling the “song of the summer,” DaBaby has finally dropped its official music video.
“Pop that thing, let it clap, let it clap / Ride this D while you sit on my lap (Let’s go) / Spread them cheeks, let me see that h-le / Shake that a– like you out of control,” he raps over Sean Da Firzt production.
